Galveston Wharves Publishing Commemorative History Book

The Galveston Wharves is publishing a 140-page, hardcover book in partnership with Galveston Historical Foundation to commemorate the Port of Galveston’s 200th anniversary.

Filled with rare historical images, the full-color, limited-edition book recounts the port’s fascinating history of pirates, naval battles, riches, and resilience from 1825 to 2025.

The book also will include advertising features spotlighting its 34 bicentennial sponsors who have all played important roles in the port’s growth – some as far back as the mid 1800s.

The book will be released during the bicentennial gala on Oct. 18 and available for purchase through this website.
